Oh **** sorry you meant my alternator, dude I want to upgrade my current. This ******** mechanic in Stony Plain said I have no room in my 1990 chrysler newyorker for a bigger alternator.

Think Fx Audio can rewind my alternator which is at 90 amps to like 110 at the least ?

Also if my amp is only putting out 700 rms thats fine like I said if anything id buy an audiobahn digital, yet they do put out what they say and I dont think my subs could take it in the ported box. My alternato already has a hell of a trouble with the 1.1 ohm load im running. ALso wont i get more spl than running 2 mrd m500s cause im running at a lower ohm load?

So than the lower ohm load just means ill get more watts out of my amp than? Cause if I wired those subs in series which would be what ? 4 ohms I know for a fact wouldnt be near as loud. They sell my amp for like 1100 in car toys maybe ill sell it for 600 than and buy one of those nice audiobahn digital ones.

One of the things I like about my amp its very stable at 1.1 ohm load. Anyways now that i got 2 more volts, and sub control on my new deck. Think I will get a signifcant amount of spl? Cause my signal really ****** before. IM also replacing my factory door speakers with those sprs.

ok one more question for ya which audiobahn amp should I buy ? A8001Dt or a12001dt. One is 800 rms at 1 ohm the other is 1200 rms at 1 ohm?

Also my understanding is stronger the signal, the cleaner it will be. Also my amp will not have to work as hard so quite possibly put out more spl. Especially with the sub control I couldnt turn my deck up very high cause my 6 by 9s sounded like crap.

The amplifier does what its told. If you increase the preamp voltage, provided you keep gain levels the same, then your amplifier will clip the signal sooner. Although this may appear louder, it's the same as mismatched (higher, in this case) gain levels. Not good for any party involved, especially subwoofers.

Whoa whoa whoa, you cant be telling me more pre amp out voltage is wrong . I know too much bass boost isnt good, but my subs for most songs just where not being challenged. I dont know I really starting to think I should buy an audiobahn amp.

Excursion, piston area, box volume, box tuning, power, cabin gain, resonant frequency, etc. all contribute to SPL ... But the net resistance of your subwoofer(s) doesn't ...

A series circuit can actually result in a drop in SPL...

There's nothing wrong about it, just don't expect to have increased SPL (keeping a clean signal). I wouldn't buy Audiobahn amp (online, or at AutoToyz?). Far too much money per watt.
