I don't think anyone would mind owning a terminator. The 4.6's are different that is for sure but they can make plenty of power (they just aren't as raunchy as pushrod based engines). My dad has a gt500 with a kenne bell on top. 705 to the wheels on pump gas. Talk about ridiculous on the street
the terminator is a 4.6 modular also, fyi. it just has an iron block, forged internals, & a supercharger. lol

my '02 Z28 made around 680rwhp on pump gas.....all motor.

03-04 Cobra & 03-04 Mach 1 are the only Mustangs that compete with the LS1 based f-bodys, even the new 2011 5.0 stangs can't keep up. They are faster than the 2010 Camaro SS, though. Right now an LS1 f-body is your best bang for the buck muscle car. terminators & mach 1s are still 16-20k, Z28s & TAs can be found with decent mileage for 6-8k. not bad for 300rwhp stock.

And to put up those kind of numbers n/a you must have stroked the **** out of it or have been running ridiculous amounts of compression (which wouldn't work on pump gas). I'm not buying it.

aluminum block, pushrod 5.7 > 4.6 overhead cam

It put down 308rwhp bone stock to the paper filter.

free mods, lid, headers, true duals, pcm flash tuned.... 357rwhp

+ cam, intake, & gears.... 426rwhp

+ heads, tremec ***** internals upgraded to 60/60, 9'' ford rear end.... 529rwhp

+ 383 stroker kit, new custom head/cam kit, new gears, m/t slicks, roll cage, pcm reflashed & retuned on the fly..... 677rwhp n/a on pump gas

.......& it still had low compression, it was built for a supercharger. I had things come up & was forced to sell it before I could add the blower & finish the build. The guy I sold it to planned to add a custom paxton supercharger & hit 1,000 rwhp......& keep it street legal.

the 4.6 is overmatched against the 5.7

I like both vehicles, my first car was a '96 SVT Cobra & my next sports car will be a terminator. The 4.6 simply cannot keep up with the LS1 mod for mod. Plus, in stock form they are well behind.

That means nothing. Engines are in essence the same. I have a 67 mustang with a good old pushrod 306. I know how to make power. Your claims are ridiculous and not accurate.

 
lol. 700 HP out of a 383 is realistic. Just expensive. Just cuz its a chevy doesnt mean it cant go fast, it just means you will be rebuilding it more often.

Check out sbftech.com if you want to see sick azz small blocks with n/a power.

 
Realistic my ***, on a street car with pump gas??? Not happening. Compression would be through the roof. Remember he is talking rwhp as well, so 850-900 at the crank.

I've seen plenty of high power 347 builds but they are not streetable whatsoever. Huge cams and high compression
