what would be better one type x 12 inch or two type r's 12 inch? i just bought a 12 inch type x and it is going to be powered by a mtx thunder 81001 is this a good setup?

2 type r's can get pretty ****in loud. one type x isnt as loud. i'd go for the type rs

Type X for SQ/SQL, Type R for SQL/SPL

I'm not so sure the OP knows what he wants when he asks "one Type X or two Type R's". They're kind of teetering on opposite ends of the SQ/SQL - SQL/SPL spectrum.

It depends on what you are looking for. If you want a nice clean system get the X, if you want loud, get the Rs

im looking for a system that is loud but also clean bass, its going in a 74 caprice so it has alot of trunk space, one of my friends is building me a custom box for the type x, but i just wanted to see if i made the right choice

Depending on what kind/size box it is and how much power you have to give it, it'll sound nice.

no one cares about spl? thats the point of subs

only competitors have fart boxes. the majority of people with type R's on here have daily driver box's.

anyways, i scored a 67 in MECAs sound quality class with a fart box.
