Type S vs. Type R

Just get a design and cut it and put it together. It is really simple...I would never even consider comparing a Type R and a Type S, EVER.

That is true, they dont even compare...
If u must keep that box and amp look into an RE SR or something.

Do you know elementary math? Make a box 2.5 cubic feet not including the port, with a port thats 30sq inches , 22 inches long. It will sound like 3-4 subs in your sealed boxes.

Would a box that is 2-2.25cu tuned between 32-35hz sound good?

I would like to build one of the boxes from the free box plans, i like how it's all laid out for me so I could just cut it and throw it together... makes things easy.

I just threw in my 1242D and it sounds a bit better @ 500w than 300w but still nothing to brag about by any means, doesn't get much louder than the 1222D did.
