Well I have been asked by a friend to set up a system for him. He already has the amp, now he needs subs. He has narrowed it down to 2 Alpine type S 12's, or 2 kicker comp VR 12's. They will see around 1 cube sealed after displacement (sealed) Each, So 2 cubes overall. He is an SQL/SPL guy so he wants to get decently loud but he likes the sound of sealed woofers SO PORTED IS OUT OF THE QUESTION. they will each recieve 600 watts. Pick the one you like best.

I've heard both sealed and both 12's and the Type S sounded alot better IMHO. Very tight accurate bass but not overwhelming.
I'd agree with that... but the type S lacks low end sealed.

The CVR has a much better low end in a sealed box.

Which, if he doesn't like the sound of a ported box... he's never heard a proper one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

someone is afraid that they might have 2 buy a ticket for the wangon, thats all.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
No I really did hear that the AIDS virus originated from a type R. and I know, he hasn't heard a properly built ported box. But none the less he likes low end so I guess that the VR's are going to be the choice.
