Type R's

I have a friend who has two 10" type R's in the back of his jeep cherokee and they hit pretty ****ing hard. Probably because he knows how to twick them just perfectly. But I also have another friend that has a 15" type r and it sounds like shit. I also hear a lot of other people complaining that the type r's aren't very powerful for component subs.

What do you guys think?

What year is your friend's Grand Am? I am going to be doing an install on my 93 GA this summer. 2 Type R 12's in 4 cubes @ 32hz. Powered off a Hifonics BXi2008D.

Curious how his sounds and what he thinks of the subs themselves.

Think so? I don't have any experience installing a Grand Am. I have absolutely how they react to a pair of subwoofers with 1,800w rms. Do you have personal experience with GA's?

i believe his is a 2001 or something he also has a hifonics amp for it to...not sure what model
