Has anyone had good luck with type r's in a bandpass? I need to come up with a cheap system by the end of the month and I have a 93 yota pickup and doing a blow through. I was thinking 2 12s in a 6th order blow-through. I have a saz-1500 for power and wanted to do something than the normal ported box. I got to get rid of my DP 21s before I can buy anything so I figured I would start figuring everything out before I bought anything. If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears.

Normally bandpasses don't reproduce a very wide range of frequencies and what they do reproduce is very peaky so they just don't sound good..... BUT I don't think you could make a type r sound much worse so go for it.

I think I still have a design from 80inches for 2 12" type r's. If it's ok with him you can have the specs. It's a huge box though, I hope you have a SUV.
That would be sick I you would and of course he'd let you. Its a 6 foot bed so I should have enough room.

with bandbass, im sure you know its much less forgiving to error as far as construction goes, the subs can bottom out or unload without you knowing due to the whole dual eclosure thing, and they require much space...but im sure if you get it right it will sound dope...good luck!
