I used to run two type r's at just around 500 Watts each (with a crappy overated amp) in a small sealed box. I now run just one sub in a 2.2 cubes ported at 2ohms on the same amp and the difference is night and day. I am getting a proper amp soon though.So if I were you I would juust run one sub at 2ohms ported with an amp that gives 600-650 watts true rms power to get it moving.
