12" R's can't take 1000 daily.

OP, get a nice box like 2.6 @ 35Hz

And get a 500-600 RMS @ 2 ohm amp.

My suggestion is you get an amp that does 1200 RMS @ 1 ohm, so you can get another type R later. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Budget wise, go with 08 hifonics.

Other then that, there is plenty to choose from.

mrp-m500 can be had easily for around 180 if u look around

1 dual 4 ohm sub will wire to a 2 or 8 ohm load

1 dual 2 ohm sub will wire to a 1 or 4 ohm load

to get that R moving, you are gonna need more than 500RMS. I would reccomend 700-ish RMS, and your gonna need it at a 2 ohm load.

For a 2 ohm load, i would reccomend something along the lines of a kicker 750.1 (750rms @ 2 ohms), or a beefy 2 channel amp that is 2 ohm stable bridged.

yes they can. I have done it. They just dont sound good.

yes, but that will barely be enough to power a single speaker. you said you have 2, so why not use them both?

And at one point I ran my Type R 15 on a zx2500.1 @ 1 ohm, then later on (2) Sundown 3000's @ 4 ohm strapped. They will take some power if you know how to control the volume knob.

I used to run two type r's at just around 500 Watts each (with a crappy overated amp) in a small sealed box. I now run just one sub in a 2.2 cubes ported at 2ohms on the same amp and the difference is night and day. I am getting a proper amp soon though.

So if I were you I would juust run one sub at 2ohms ported with an amp that gives 600-650 watts true rms power to get it moving.
