look in my sig. for the price, they bump. they say 500 rms, but that's crap. i have 700+ daily and they take it well. i'll be switching to FI soon, but i've been happy with my type r's for what i paid. they will suffice until you get a bigger budget. your neighbors will hate you.

In reply to your original question of 'will they be good enough'... no sub will ever be good enough in the end. That's the beauty of car audio. It keeps your ears wanting more.

If you want 'bone shaking' bass and all that... you're going to need more money. That's the long and short of it. You can get decent subs for $250 shipped, be it a single 15" L7 or some type R's, but if you don't have the right box built and a high quality amp, your subs will just sound like a well-installed middle-of-the-road sub.

The sub doesn't make the boom. The installer makes the boom. Golden rule, given the installer is handed the right equipment.

FI is the best sub i've ever heard with my own ears. if you have the patience, save up and go with them. i have no patience, so i bought the R's. i wouldn't go as far as to say i regret it though. they aren't bad subs.

if everything is install dependent though couldnt L7s be ultimate SQL, i mean team kicker did win a number of SQ awards with the new L7s, so wouldnt it be possible to say it could happen?
