Type-R: Will they be good enough?

So sick of upgrading my sh!t because it's not good enough.

I want bone rattling, deep bass, with decent SQ.

Will two 12" Type-R's satisfy me?

My budget is $250 shipped

id say if you got a custom ported box youll be happy. I would personally get 1 15" that will handle 1100 @ 1 ohm and just push the hell out of it in a custom box. What ohm are the subs?

I would try finding something diffrent. I would say look for like a older xxx. I know theres a few treads around here with some really good deals. Im not that big of a fan of type r's.

Naw....if i were you i would pick up a 15" L7 you can find them on here for around 200 shipped. Then use the remander 50 to build a nice ported box for them.

in short. its a nice sub for a fair online price. can get nice and loud and sounds decent. there is better out there for around the same price. but for a widely available sub at a nice budget price it is a nice choice

l7's will get loud and sound good doing it.....there not a full spl sub. So i would do a l7 in a sealed box get loud and sound hella good doing it.

Type R is loud, and remember he only has 250 shipped. if thats all your willing to spend then 2 12's is probably the loudest you can get for the money. You will need at least 700 watts each maybe even more though.

Give the 15 all the power you have there. The R's were rated pretty conservatively this time around, so they take nearly 1kw to reach their potential, rather than the 500w they are rated for.

You will get more potential out of the 1 15" than the two 12"s imo.
