Type R vs Xenon comps

the xenons are about $40 bucks cheaper than the type R. I want a budget comp that have nice mids. I heard the type R @ best buy but they didnt sound that good mostly because the way they were set up. I never heard the xenons. I going to be powering them with 100- 150 rms by a profile 2 channel amp.

I think the R's would sound better...they sound pretty good where iveheard them..not alot of midbass tho..

the xenons look mighty good and can be had for under $100.

never heard the xenons. type-r's have a harsh tweet and the midbass isnt that great.

The xenons have decent midbass, and the tweeter is one of the smoothest ive heard. They do well, and I have around 200 on each.

I'm probably going with the Xenons then... Today I fit to go to the good guys their having 25 percent or more off everything . I read somewhere that their closing down. Maybe I can find something good and cheap.
