Type R -vs CompVR

Hey guys quick question I am searching for some subs for myself. I will make a custom vented enclosure for them. Which subs do you guys recommend. They will be powered by a RE35.1. I want two 10's. what do you guys think because I went to a local dealer that sells both and they recommended the VR's b/c according to them the Alpines can not take to much power and they dont get loud at all. what do you guys think

hmm, im gonna go with VR's for spl and Type R for sql.. the kickers will take the power better imo

I cant hear them because they do not have the Type R installed anywhere so I dont know what to pick. Also, none of my friends have them. The reason why I am considering also is because a cousin from Florida recommended them and they are on special at the local shop

go 2 best buy if u wanna hear a type r...granted they have unbelievably shitt boxes and they are not tuned...at all...and they are alwyas not being powered correctly...but u can definatly hear 1 at bb if u wnat, lol

I have no idea how you can make this statement. Ever cut an 05 CVR apart? You can tell just by looking that the type-R handles more power. Granted, I do not like Kicker for subs, but if you are trying to choose you should purchase the type-r over a CVR. Go listen to them if you can and I am sure you will agree.

isnt that the 1500 watt amp? if so i would go for a pair of treo ssi's if you're going ported with that power.

yea the build of the CVR isnt all that great compared to the type r.

I know, I only paid 40 bucks for it bnib from cardomain (the CVR). Im just experimenting, If that doesnt work im going to change to 4 cubes at 35 Hz
