Type r speakers...

The Type X's...
I don't like the R's tweets...too harsh for me. The X's are a lot better.
Would u consider the Xs on the "warmer" side? I was thinking about trying the Xs out but i dont really like the Rs

what does everyone think of the alpine type r speakers... do they live up to the reputation of their big bros?
I'll let you know tomorrow night after the install!!! The 5x7 weighs 13 lbs. gross! Hopefully the tweeter won't be too much. My daily driver has two sets of tweeters up front...so I should be prepared for these in the Mustang. I hope they will sound good for the time being at 18 W RMS from the stereo. Well shy of their 60 W RMS rating! I'm pretty excited. Based on the magnet on the 5x7 and the how hefty the tweeter feels...I should be in for a real treat! The Type S in back should compliment them pretty well. Ofcourse my current speakers are factory...so anything else will be better //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Is they Type X a component also?
