Type R sealed or ported

Well The type R i bought was brand new with the box played with it on the ported option and 2 days later the sub blew out!... Someone told me the box was too small and that caused it but i have warranty on the sub so i can get it replaced no problem. Anyone know where i can get some plans for a nicely tuned ported box online?
cuz anything below 40 hz on that box is all distorted makin the sub hit it's xmax easier and bottoming it out, i ahve the same box dude lol.

only frequencies that are loud with it are 50 hz-60 hz range, it's good for rock though

Thats a nice freaking prefab, it should sound **** decent and be fairly loud in that box! I agree you'd learn more doing it yourself, but if the carpet is that good on that box, for $70 I can't see you going wrong!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I know it would be nice to build my own but i really dont know anyone that could do it for me and make it perfect. also i worl alot so i dont really have the time to devot to getting it done, but u guys say that box would sound good?

Can't get much better then that for $70 unless you build your own:thumbupw:

But $50 for shipping blows //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
