My question is would it be safe to run 1000w rms to 1 type r 12 dvc4?

I was planing on trying to get a brutis 1500d so i can get another sub in the near future but didn't want to destroy the speaker.

thats a stupid thing to say, ur gain is there to match to your headunit output and max levels

there is a formula to find out what voltage u need to be at to get X amount of watts.... so if u run the formula with 500 watt amp then (however the formula works) it will tell u to set ure gains at XX.XXX volts and u will get power close to the number u started the formula with..... read that sticky its all there
