Type X sound nice but I cant compare to the DD since ive never used them. The X's I had though were very clear.

Never used either one... but you could buy one of each see which one sounds the best to you, sell the other off then order the rest you want

I always wanted to try a 2515. Get the DDs.

I have used Type R's and DD 3500 series before.

The DD is definitely the way to go IMO, I was much more impressed with the way it sounded.
