Alright, so I just went from a type R in a ported prefab subzero 1.5cf box @ 34hz to a custom 2.25cf box @ 32hz.

I used these box plans http://img23.imageshack.us/my.php?image=225cubes32hz35sqin0zj.png except where it makes an L on the baffle I put an angle in there so the air can get out better.

I can tell my trunk and everything is ratteling more but I thought it was going to be a ton louder with a bigger box like this. But one the box is now very big and takes up almost the width of the back of my trunk so im thinking of turning it towards the cabin so the bass can get out of the trunk easier. Is this going to be a good idea without the trunk sealed? Im just looking for things to do to get louder bass with my current setup. Thanks

what will make it louder is giving it more power. not giving a box that doesnt fit its specs. if your not runing it at 500w rms then get to it. (im asumming its not a 15) they'll get plenty loud, but your trunk will definatly muffle it. if you have the colapsable rear seats just fold one down when no ones in it. problem solved.

Im giving it around 650 clean watts right now.

And it sucks that my seats dont go down (shit car) but im going to try facing it towards the cabin today.
