type R comps :(

just got an offer for some type r components. but the seller hasn't heard my ED 6000's and i've yet to hear the R's. I'm just trying to upgrade my midbass, would the R's be a upgrade or not worth it? Should i just try to trade my PA 3000db for some better ones or possibly my PA and orion H2 and start rebuilding from the ground up.

My ED's leave me wanting more and i think i made a mistake trying to be satisfied with comps for so cheap. when it comes to components i'm not to sure what to do.

Basically are teh R's better then my 6000's, and if not by alot should i just save/trade for a pair and take the plunge with a $400+ set of comps?

jesus do not get the type R's...get Rainbow Germaniums for around $450 or Soundlines for like $230.

didn't think so, i had read though that they had "decent midbass". but i don't see them being much if any of a upgrade to the 6000's. I'd love a set of germs, maybe you should buy my stuff. j/k

how much power are you giving the ED's?

sound deaden your door panels= more mid bass

but if you did that then buy better comps

personally i owned the type r comps and had them installed ...loved the mid bass and brightness of the tweeter
