type r box

i need dimensions for a slot ported box for two 15 in type r's. space is no issue and i want it to hit the lows pretty well and im going for spl in my setup. i have looked through the official type r thread and could not find anything so if anyone could help i would appriciate it.

the width is 42 inches and height can be as tall as 41 inches and depth is 31 inches. its a ford bronco so if back seat is removed it can be larger. i do not have an amp yet but also i looked online at sonicelectronix.com and they have a 4 cubic foot slot ported box for two 15's that measures 17"D x 40"W x 16"H. how would the R's perform in that ? has anyone used this box does it hold up well ?

You will be much better off building your own box rather than going prefab. You can build to your dimensions, tuning, cubic footage, etc.

you're going to want about 8 cu. ft. for those if you are going for an SPL setup... I have mine in 7.4cu. ft before disp. and they get pretty dam loud, but there is more potential if they were in a bigger box
