Type-R Box Help

Wassup???

I just bought one Type-R (SWR-1242D) with an Alpine mono amp (MRP-M850). What type of box should i put the Type-R in, enclosed or ported???? Also any suggestion on where to get one cuz i dont have the time to build my own.

i would think it would retain more of its SQ if it were in a sealed box, but if you have a local audio shop go ask them to build you a nice ported enclosure. not real sure on the specs yet but i am curious what theses people will say because i am building a box for it soon

just my 2 cents, have BJ on here (bjfish11) build you one. He built mine, specs listed in my sig, and his work is awesome. Not only is the box built extremely well, but the sub gets fairly loud too.
