type r 8's?

So are they any good? I was gonna be running 4 8"s in my gfs trunk and i came across alpine type r 8's. Any one know anything about them? Their 99 a peice. Im debating between re audio rex8's, type r 8's or sa-8s. Any opinions?

Id take the Type Rs... They are some solid subs. On DIYma, they have said nothing but GREAT things about them. SAs are great subs too, but more SPL oriented... Really up to you and the power you have to work with.

Well I would like to see the r's in action. Not many vids up of them. I think their like 400 rms a peice

they are 350 rms and are you goin sealed or ported...ported would be better for the r

I would. Wander on over to DIYMA and take a look. Supposedly incredibly linear, articulate, accurate, transparent, while maintaining low end extension.
