Two sealed 12's doing high 40's?

So, who here honestly thinks that two 12's sealed under the back seat of my 05 F-150 will put me near a 47-48 TL?
I want honest responses, and humor me with why it wont do it...

RD Alphas.

Sealed.

Two 12's.

Two PA3000DB's, just because I already have one and the second is cheap as hell, and gives sufficient power.

Kenwood 8019 HU.
It will do it. I am at 145 legal with half the power.

Well with the 1.5per sub, that is a little better to get higher numbers, but I just don't think I see high 140's. Maybe low to mid, which is still good. If you are not competiting, then who gives a shit as long as it is loud and sounds good to you.

Good luck on the build and sorry to hear about your bad luck on the rapping with the boat and what not.

in my F150 i have run the following system

4 Type R 10's sealed under seat fire forward. 144.2 run with 2 kicker 1200.1's

2 orion H2 12s sealed under seat fire forward. 142.2 run with 2 kicker 1200.1's

I made my own seat risers and was abel to get 4 cubes total. for both set ups.

PS: no tall people in the back lol.

then my kids got old enough to not need car seats and the very next day I took out my seat WOOOHOOO. 10 cubes two L7 15's, 2 kicker 1200.1's. ported and tuned to 38. high 140's on music and 150+ on tones at the dash.

moral of the story is take out the **** back seat and tell your friends to get there own **** car if they want a seat.

I hear ya. I think that I'll be happy with just the two 12's, for a while :)

Edit : 4 cubes?

That's almost enough for ported...****it

yep 4 cubes.

i unbolted my back seat from the brackets. went and puchased much longer bolts. put in a spacer that i think was 6" drilled holes for the new bolts and slapped the seat back on. if you do something like this be sure to get larger bolts then the factory. a thin bolt will snap off like a twig in a accident since the seat will have a higher center of gravity.

lol.

Honestly you dont curretnly have the air volume nor surface area to pull that off with just two 12's. I dont care if you give those subs 20,000 watts, they're still not going to overcome the physics.
using less than 20k in my truck 2 sealed 12's did over a 148 on dash.

just take the back seat out and do something ported. you will have a much better chance that way.

But I want the back seat //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I'll update once I get this in. Anyone want to take bets she does a 46+ on the lab? I mean ****, I got nothin to lose haha

Two 12" Alphas sealed, on two PA3000DB's downfiring under the back seat of my 05 f-150.

I'll take that bet. Friendly wager though...I really do hope you can pull it off. I might have to try something like that in the future if it can be done.

with the small cabin its possible. sadly i heard 2 sealed JLw6v2's off a 1000/1 in a lil *** 3000gt with no backseats. pretty much nothing but box and front seats in the cabin and it was doing lower to mid 140's. sounded like *** because the kid didnt know wtf he was doing with the EQ and was clipping the balls off those subs. but it was interestingly loud...............

that being said, the small cabin will help, and those 2 amps will help too (love those a3000's). personally i'd port them with port plug so you can do daily 34Hz and comps tuned high. with a fartbox and those amps it'll be tough but not impossible. proper tuning, subs/port placement, and all other aspects of the install need to be optimal to get there. sealed it'll be alot tougher...
