Tunning a 4 channel amp??

I have an amp i need to tune, my question is how/where do i set the HZ on the front and rear?

for comps? I usually set to 80Hz, but if I have really good midbasses, I set lower, to like 50 or 60hz

Can you clear this up, the higher the HZ means? and the low the HZ means?
