tuning amp?

lol i wasn't complaining, i was just wondering if i am doing something wrong, b/c if i turn the amp gains all the way up, it won't clip? i find that odd, but i only had 1 other amp so i didn't know if that was normal.

Did you look at the waveform of the head unit's pre-outs as well? Check the outputs using different tones as well. The amplifiers must be clipping at something lower than 1 kHz. I'm assuming you did this with the speakers disconnected, which may also affect the result because there is no load presented to the amplifier.

speakers where disconnected, should i try it with the speakers connected, also if i test from the headunit to rca with headunit all the way turned up, it does not clip either, my subs woofers clip, and i also tested a 400Hz tone, these are 0dB tones.

It's likely you will need to turn the gain down on your speaker amp to level match everything, and there is a risk of damaging the speakers with a 1 kHz tone. No clipping does not mean there isn't enough energy to damage the tweeters.
