Noobish question. DVC subwoofer each coil to separate outputs same amp?

OK so heres the deal.... I have a monoblock amp with 2 speaker outputs that is bridgeable and 1ohm stable, perhaps lower but not goin to push it. And I am considering doing a big single 18 setup but the 18 i can get cheap cheap is a dual 1 ohm sub. My wiring options are .5 or 2ohm. i know, but what if one were to run a coil to each channel on the amp. creating a 1 ohm load to each channel. I could be wrong but would that work? Dont wana burn up my us amps amplifier., but really wana get this sub and can feed 3000 to it.

That is not two channels but merely 2 sets of terminals for the one channel. Your amp would 'see' half ohm load.
