I was wondering. Can you have anything inbetine the sub and where you are going to be listening to it. For example can you put one in the trunk or you you have to have like a hackback so that there is nothing in the way of the sound. I have a 85 pontiac 6000 with 2 200W 6x9's pionner speakers powered buy a yamaha 2 channel amp 35 a side /80 but it is just not enough bass. any suggestions ????? thanx

Well the subwoofer is alot larger than the 6x9 speaker. Depending on how loud you want the bass to be and how much money you have are the 2 keys to your answer. If you want alot of bass, that rattles your car etc. or if you just want some nice bass added to your general sound? Well for some nice bass added to the general sound shop around from some 10" subs. You will need another amp for the additional amp you will need to run the sub(s). Now depending on how big your trunk is, depends on how big of a box you can fit. 2 12" subs can fit nicely in just about any trunk, now that is just about any trunk. The 2 12's will get yah the bass to shake your car and depending on the brand and wattage to them, even the car next to yours. Shop around check out a local car stereo shop or an eletronic store that carries the equipment that you would be interested in. Keep in mind you get what you pay for, if you have any more questions there are tons of people that will give yah their opinon on which brands etc. Take it easy
