I haven't experienced any problems with amplifiers (3) overheating in my trunk. However, I decided to do some preventive measures to avoid future problems. Wired two 120mm, 12 volt fans to a relay triggered by the amplifier turn on wire. The fans are controlled by a thermostat regulated switch and fan speed controller. All are mounted on a particle board frame.

Nice. I had 6 Korean amps in my trunk and walled so no airflow getting to them but never had an issue in Florida heat. When I had two 3800s at 0.5 ohm each I did temp protect them quite a few times at spring break nationals.

Looks nice. Hopefully they’re not too loud.

What are the CFMs per fan?

35@ 1200 RPM each. If that's not enough, I swap them for a higher cfm. Thanks for bringing that spec. to my attention.
Thats not much air movement. You can find like an XScorpian( Made by Stinger) fan that will move like 115 CFM for approx 15-30 bucks, Ground to Ground and Poss to remote turn on wire at Amplifier. I like to wire off Sub amp.

Props for much better fan control than most do. Please share pictures of it installed. What made you decide to add extra cooling if you didn't have any problems?

74 years old, retired and got Bored. I would have added better fans, if I was experiencing problems. Basically, it's a setup, I can utilize if problems surface.

Photos of a test fit is included. Hopefully, it never turns on and there is no need for it. However, just in case...

Just an update: I found some fans designed for Antminers (tools for mining bitcoin). They are much larger than my old fans and rated at 209 cfm. Based on the original feedback to my post, I decided to explore more powerful fans. Thanks to all.
