troubleshooting amp/sub problem

I must have still had the meter still in ohms or something, I just went out to doublecheck and set to 10 ac v (using a very cheap meter) I was getting near no power at all.

No need to bypass the amp. Most use an LOC that takes the full amped signal and turns it into a flat RCA level signal. Here is the newest I have...
