triple 12 sealed?

So I guess two cubes each for a pair of ported 12s would be pretty good? I have two of the R's but want something louder and with better sq. The R's are nice but they're not on par with supersubs.

I thought about the old XxX's but thought they needed more space.

As far as the mags, they are recomended at 2 cubes @28hz. Even 1.5 sealed er sub will surprise you I promice.

What vc config and how many watts can they handle in a DD? I tried my R's in 1.25 each @ 28 and was not impressed. One of them in 2.5 was louder to the ear (never metered).

So if those like the smallish boxes that is great!

I would run 2 12" SI mags. 3 cubes total with one 9.1 on each sub. They would really only need ~600 watts a piece, but 900-1k would kick some ***.
that would be pretty sick. The thing is that I think the mags want about 2 cubes for ported. 1.5 might do it but I would prefer 2 cubes.

They only come in D2 coils. They are rated at 900rms but can handle more if you know what you are doing.

boxes are 1.5 @ 32, 2 @ 28, or 1-1.5 sealed per 12"

why not just buy a single 15?

I don't think I would get the output I want out of a single 15. 2 12's just has a good deal more cone area. I want to impress myself with this setup. I'm not sure if one 15 would do it.

I was just about to say that. 1 15 would be nice but I think for SPL the 2 12s would do the trick. 1.5 @ 32 would actually be pretty nice.

2 12s offer about 20% more cone area at 80% more $ over the 15

edit:

If $700+ is nothing to you for sub, then go for it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

It's not only a cone area thing. With the 2 12's I would be using one 9.1 on each, as opposed to only one. 2 12's with about 2kw should sound better enough to me than 1 15 with 1kw to justify the money.

I took a quick look at the SI site, any experience with the 'new' Mag 12's or only the old ones?

which means you could sell an amp and put it towards a 15" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. If money is no issue than get the 2 12s.... from what I've heard they will kick *** if properly installed.

I wouldn't say that it's 'no issue' but I think my personal preference would be for the 2 12's. I don't mind spending good money on good products. But I think I may just wait in a hole until someone sells a used pair.
