triple 12 sealed?

Alright, I'm revamping my sub setup and was thinking about going sealed.

I would like to keep the box around 3 cubes. Previously I had an R in 2.5 @ 28 w/ 1144 rms.

Was thinking of going with three 12's sealed, facing into the cabin. I want it to be noticeably louder than the R ported.

Power is no problem as I already have a couple of NINe.1's. Big 3 has been done. Power at the amp shows a steady 14.69 volts.

Info on what subs to choose or any other suggestions welcome.

I had 3 CompVR 12"s sealed in my trunk then went to 2 Treo SSi 12"s ported. Provided I used different subs but same amount of power I think that you would be louder with just 2 ported instead of 3 sealed. That was my experience. But that's just my 2 cents

question...how are you gonna put 3 subs on 2 amps? will the nine.1's strap?
edit: Good voltage, btw.
I think nine1s are strappable, not sure though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif.

Getting louder than a ported type r is impossible....oh wait, you didnt have the tcab so NM //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif.

You'll want some subs with large displacement potential. How much money do ya have to spend? Are you going to seal the trunk off?

I would run 2 12" SI mags. 3 cubes total with one 9.1 on each sub. They would really only need ~600 watts a piece, but 900-1k would kick some ***.
Never heard one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif but heard lots of good stuff about em. Gonna run $700+ new though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif.

Yeah the nine.1's will strap. Rated power for a strapped pair is 2500rms at 12.5v.

I was told by one of the tech guys at eD that one 9.1 at 14.4v and 1ohm will do close to 1700.

I would like to run two good 12's ported but it would definately take the whole trunk. Trying to steer away from that. But it looks more and more like I may have to.

If I did ported I could do about 2 cubes each for 12's, or 1 15 in 4 cubes...

I do plan on walling the trunk and making some sort of a "pressure box".

Looking to spend about $500 or so. More if I sell some of the stuff I have sitting around. I will more than likely buy used off the forums.

ben and ed isn't the most honest company. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif the highest i've seen that amp bench at 14.4 volts is ~1500 watts rms

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif Eh, not bad power though. I'm still very pleased with these amps.

i didn't say it was bad, just that ben and ed are inflating the power capabilities //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Yeah I gotcha. Thanks for the heads up. 300 watts over rated power is pretty nice. I guess 1500 is "close" to 1700. lol

nine.1's ARE strappable.

Stackable - TWICE the power. The NINe.1 is stackable without the use of a external module. Stacking 2 NINe.1's is a easy way to get 2500+ watts @2ohm Mono.

*edit* oops, i'm slow.
