making the box a littler longer than 18 inches might help it sound better. the port might be a little big. But that box will knock hard cuz i had a box similar to it. 8inch round port, 3.5ft wide. 3 10's. about 2.5ft long and 11inches tall.

What year explorer?

48" won't fit inbetween the wheel wells in the late 90's, hell, I think it'd barely fit even above em'.

You'll have to do some wigglin'.One side in first while lifting the other probably. 4ft won't fit through the door easily.
