sub direction

Would it be possible to change the position of where the sub is in the box. For example if i were to build the 1.6 cuft box tuned to 32 hz in the sticky but instead of mounting it where the circle is mount it on the side where the port is not.

you can mount the sub anywhere you would like as long as its not going to interfer w/ the port or somehow block it off. i dont see why it wouldnt hurt. some say its better to not have the sub and port on the same wall, but i have yet to see a problem.
