tried searching. setting gains on 4 channel

so im just about to readjust my gains, and i know to use a 50hz tone for my sub amp, but arent i supposed to use like a 1k hz tone for my 4 channel?

just set by ear, it will be twice as loud by ear than dmm method trust me i know.

setting with dmm was supposed to be 26.4 volts did it by ear and got no distortion and sounded great was 40 volts
