Transmission line for 2 True Bass Solution 8s

Box is nice, but im confused. Looks like you have 3 diff boxes there. One is painted black, but not rounded over or anything, and one is rounded over but not painted black, and the other looks like birch?
lol what?

The other box in the last picture was the horn that didn't fit in the car. There is a box that is carpeted near it (but not in these pictures) that houses my friend's old Alpine Type-Es.

Done listening to music and watching various movie clips and now I guess I'm going to run some cable.

I love them. I've built a ton of 1/4 wave resonators as I just love the sound of them. They can get way lower than a ported enclosure of equivalent size and sound far better than a sealed box.

i would love to build one but i'm not so good with equations or numbers; i'm having trouble with simple slot ports. i'd like to blame that on the software but haha uh.. i can't. you've had pretty good results with those little subs, good luck with the new box

They're pretty simple to design, the tricky part is laying it out although that's not too bad either. http://www.quater-wave.com go there and read about the theory and then check out the alignment pdf as well as the excel spreadsheet.

Just got my 1/0 ran and installed the subs and amp and wow. I don't have my components or their amp installed yet but I'll get to it as soon as I can. The subs sound ****ing awesome and play from about 25-100hz with no problems anywhere. It sounds really flat except around 80hz where it nulls a tad but they will be crossed over at about 60hz anyways. I need to do some major rattle management but it should finish quite well! I'll get some vids Tuesday if anybody wants them.

Looks like you didn't taper or expand the line at all? Excellent job on the design and build. Any plans for some EQ or you just going to low pass it?

Nope, no taper and no expansion. I also don't need to EQ the response at all. It sounds very flat from 25-100hz easy with what sounds like a slight dip around 80hz but that could be from the ghetto coaxials in it. This next week I'm hoping to put my 4 channel, cross over, and components in and then later down the road I'll replace the headunit. I'll be using some CDT HD6 mids and some Vifa BC25SC tweeters active and they should work quite well with the subs.

How did you model the two drivers in the alignment tables? Just double the Sd and double/halve the Re to fit your wiring scheme?

I actually used MJ King's mathcad files for segmented transmission lines to model it and only used half the line area using a single driver.

If I can find my radioshack meter, I'll take some in car measurements and anechoic measurements and see how closely it resembles the model. From there, I can work on getting my new car's interior modeled using mathcad. I did that with my Integra and got stunning results modeling it as a mass loaded transmission line.

Do you do designs for someone? I've looked at some on the websites that you referenced and I like some others would agree, this gets a little over some of our heads. I keep hearing that T lines are the way to go but cant find anyone that will help design one for me.
