the area of a 3 inch aero is 7.065...my box volume will be at or a TINY bit under 1 cubic foot.
my box will be tuned low as i love to move air. I might be able to get away with a 3 inch aero...but, me and basscort came up with a pretty slick way to get the 4 inch aero to work...

to be honest, that t1508 needs at least 16" of port per cuft to work the way it was designed to. a 3" aero is no where near enough port. check out dd's sight for their explanation.

i have lots of expierence with dd woofers and find that they do need the recomended port area and in most cases work even better with more area.

ive found that most people that have bad luck with them is usually due to to little port area.

the 1508 iam running in my s-10 is in 1cuft with 19" of port and you would never know its an 8" unless i showed you.

i do think that you will be good with the 4" aero as you usually can get away with using an aero with half the area.

for diffrent tunings, just have a long 4" for the low tuning and a shorter one for the higher tuning.

Modification to fit in the box

Got her hooked up in my house to start breakin her in...

Thursday i should be able to get everything in the truck and get her in there...

got her in the truck..she sounds ok.

From what i read, these 8s sound like shit right out of the box
