Totaled my car, need help buying another car

So i totaled my car on the highway and now im in need of another car. Im looking to spend about $4000. any suggestion for another car? i was looking at a volkswagon passat and jetta or an Acura tl. BTW i prefer to have a 4 door instead of a coupe.

dont ever buy a car you or someone you trust closely doesn't know alot about. it will save you time and effort in the long run. or learn alot about the car before you buy it so you know what to look for.
