Total Newb here. I want to build a system

I see a ton of amps like Boss and Phoenix and a few others on ebay and overstock at 100.00 or less and these are 600, 800 and 1000 watt 4 channels.
Are these not good ideas?

How important is the amp for the overall system performance?

I thought Boss was highly respectable?
If it's $100 and it claims 600, 800, 1000 in a 4 channel amp, it's way overrated and is probably claiming max power. These are amps to STAY AWAY FROM

The amp is VERY important to overall system performance. You pay $50 for an amp and you're getting $50 performance, which isn't squat.

A Boss amp claming 1000 watts for $100 is not respectable by any means.

I have tried my best, an $800 amp for $200 that will be all the amp you will ever need...You run your components with it, the rear coaxils off it if you want, or off your deck power, and have a nice sub channel for when you get one. It is easily the nicest amp I have ever owned for a daily driver system and will drill a sub hard (my car is in the 130's with music) and provide fantastic sq, but do your thing...I know 350watts RMS (over 3 channels) doesn't seem like much, but you would be shocked to hear what it sounds like in my car.

Bikejunkie223..............I really appreciate it man. I am looking into several scenarios. You have been more than helpful as have all the posters who have replied to this thread.

I appreciate all the knowledge and the patience you have shown with me. Its greatly appreciated,
