New Subs

Ok well i have 2 Orion H2 12.2's with the Orion 2500D. I was wondering if any one had some good suggestions on some awesome subs that i could put in my car and hit around 156db's. I got my H2's to 149.2 with hardly any work.

if i know my DB facts.. you'll have one hell of a time adding 6 DB. a 3 dB increase would be twice as loud.. so a 6 db increase would be 4 times as loud. I dont think you could hit that without lots more subs, amps, etc.

iirc two type R 15's in the tcab enclosure are hitting close to that right about now. So I guess there's your answer.. two type R 15's in a tcab box, with lots and lots of power.

Another 2500d would be a good step, and put a little bit more effort in to the vehicle and box.

Lots of deadening, and find a good box design for your car.

another 2500 and a pair of treo ssx's.

doubling the power can get you about 3dbs (unless you already reached the subs full output)

adding a second sub, same size/model, can get you about 3dbs

porting can get you about 3dbs

10dbs = about twice as loud

3 Memphis 15's in a TCAB box, and lot's of power, should be pretty close.

Id say big ported box, if u have the room, more power, more subs.

i hvae 2 12in orion h2's now but i was just running one 2500D. SAG3 yes i went to the competition last sunday on the 4th sponsered by security and sound systems. i hit 149.2 was my best. my box is to the specs of my subs and its ported. i just want to be able to compete better with the 2 digital designs cars that beat me that were hittine lik 155.

if you really want some performance out of them, get another 2500d. a single h2 can handle a 2500d, and then some.
