I have 2011 jeep wrangler 4 door. The stock soundsystem was total cap. I started by getting a new head unit. A Sony MEX BT3900U... I also ordered some new speakers Polk db6501 components for the front and Polk db6501 for the rear... I'm thinking of adding an amp for the speakers and a sub... Would the pioneer gm-6500f be good for the fronts and then bridging the other 2 channels for a sub ?... I can also just use the amp to power the speakers and then buy a powered sub?? I am trying to keep things cheap. Thanks for any help you can give.

You can run both the front & rear speakers of 2 channels and bridge the other 2 channels for a sub. You won't be able to fade front to rear, and vice versa, but that's not a big deal in that car.

If you're looking to stay in a budget, I'd go used...however amps can be very hit-or-miss and I'm not sure how reputable some people are on this forum. I've been burned before on ebay but I've also found my fair share of real gems.

If you're budget is

there's alot of good amps here and some great people ,if you buy from someone on the forum just remember to make sure they have veteran status which means they have been here a while and people know them.also look and see if they have a feedback score and if so check it out
