JL makes some amazing stuff, I doubt anyone would say different. Its just they are so bloody expensive and thier main stream. The W7 is a great driver, I know this from personal experience (8W7) The main thing is, I paid more for that 8 then i did for a pair of Incriminator Audio Lethal Injections 12's (IMO the best car audio company out there) Personaly I think the LI's are the best sub for the money. I would take LI's over W7's any and every day of the week. If you have the money to put out for W7 by all means go for it. You will not be sad, untill you see how much smaller your wallet is. JL = Main stream, uber expensive, great quality. While most of the online companies you will find on here are more about the great quality for a reasonable price. The companies you will hear about on the forum are more for car audio enthusious (sp) then the average person who wants a loud/kick butt system. So read around, ask questions about the different companies and make an educated choice on what to buy. If you search and do your homework you WILL find a system that will make you happy for both the "sound" and the price...

yeah i gotta add another lol to that one.... just assume that something you can buy at circuit city is not as good as a w7.. I honestly dont know if anything is better than a w7...

really not that main stream, only really sold in shops, and certin ones.. not in BB or CC. they dont authorize online sales. etc. and jl is for the enthiusious ( i use their amps) but its sad that punk kids end up with them, and dont know how to use the equipment right.

look at dls amps, zapco, etc. they are a lot of money too. you get what you pay for.

Hi..i was wondering which sub should i get? 12 JL w7 or 2 Kicker 12L7s
I heard from my friends that the square solo Kicker produce a Louder bass but not as low as the W7s.

Plus the L7s are cheaper then the w7s

Which one is the better quality and last longer..kicker claim that theirs sub will last longer then any other sub in its class..is this true?

very well said on the second page of this thread. as you can see im not a huge enthusiast more of a fan. my personal experience is w7 is the best ive personally heard, alot of the brands people praise on here such as RE ive never heard. so i apologize for my lack of experience.

Ya true that, but the name JL just says money. When I show off my W7 I always get "WOW!! JL!! Dude thats like the best company EVER!!!!" and other statments while when I had the LI's I never really got any comments. Bottom Line:: Buy whatever you want, its YOUR system! Go will a name everyone knows or be original and show off non-mainstream equipment.

The w7 rules all...I went to IIt audio with a cat that had one 12 inch L7 and I had one jl audio w7 we both built boxes to spec...my **** w7 killed that L7...L7s are a sloppy sub...the L7 can get a lil lound but tha sound quailty is horrible...DUB 7 ALL DAY
