Xxx 12 Vs Da Tdx 12

Ok so my friend has a TDX 12 in a small small box tuned high powered by a Planet Audio 2205 at 2 ohms ~1200rms....so last night we inverted my other friends XXX in his box and powered it in my car on a Orion HCCA-5000 at 1ohms...ok so pretty much the TDX was louder than the XXX...whats the deal...i know it could prob be the box cause its so small but shouldnt it still be louder than my friends TDX i mean it was inverted which would give it more space and it was on 2500 watts...wtf happened??//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

Also yes i tried switching the polarity and it didnt make a difference...

05 and the box is like 2 cubes tuned to high 30s

yea i mean i cant imagine if we actually gave it enough power in the right enclosure....like seriously it was alot louder than the XXX...it scared me:blush:

Yea i like the tdx/d9. i have a d9 running off two kenwood excelon amps and it pounds. i have the d9 in a modified "eagle" box.

not big enough imo......

i didn't like my 15xxx in anything smaller than 4.4ish....i'd try closer to 3 cubes, and when comparing totally seperate installs there are an infinite number of variables that will change your sq and spl.....just keep that in mind

yea i know its too small its a small box because thats all that would fit in the back of my friends mustang who has the tdx...the xxx should still be louder tho shouldnt it??

2 cubs isnt enough for the xxx man........smallest ive run mine where it still sounded excellent was 3.99cubs @ 28Hz.....give that xxx a bigger box built to specs and itll be right up there with the d9, if not surpassing it.....

but thats a big box for a 12 xxx dont you think?? i was thinkin of building my friend a box that was like 2.5 cubes @ 30hz:uhoh:

well my friends box was in my car which is a 2004 GMC Envoy with the HCCA-5000 on it with the xxx and the TDX was in my friends Mustang trunk with the Planet Audio 2205 on it...ive also had his sub and box and planet audio amp in my car before and it was still louder in my car too
