I'm going to assume that the :wink means that you're kidding about missing what JL admits are the worst subs they ever made...

My list of the best brands that have been ruined by a buyout:

1)Orion

2)PPI

3)a/d/s

4)HiFonics

Now my list of best current companies based on personal experience with product and customer service (when needed):

1)Phoenix Gold (really helpful and responsive with info on a 10yr old amp that I had a question about, and they are still making great products after all these years)

2)JL Audio (hate if you want, but I've gotten great customer service: Manny answered my questions himself and I have been using their products for over 14 yrs without a problem)

3)CDT (LOVE my Eurosports)

4)Alpine (not a single problem with my 9813)

5)RE (based on my positive experience with my XXX, no experience with their c/s)

Brand period isn't normally the best way to guage a product - every company has had their slipups.

As overall companies, however:

JL,kicker, memphis

ED has really stepped it up recently, they definitely seem to be headed in the right direction.

Well of course first off will be Alpine because of the Type R, Next will be TCAB because no one can get loud with the Type R w/o one.

Then we have Deff Jam Records to make our Type R's in our TCAB go boom like so

This is closely followed only by JL because the logo is cool and they have good products, we arent talking about price.

After this we have kicker because the Solo X is the shizzlenet and Comp's are what every 12 yearold dreams of having when he turns 16 thinking they are the loudest sum*****es ever.
