What do you mean best? Customer service, product reliability, cost, technical support, amount of products, product design, product asthetics...

Can't do an over all comparison. It would be unfair to the smaller companies. There is such a large scale of things that make a company great. To say one is better would be biased and illlogical...

i've had great experience with pioneer products, except for the head unit that ate the tops of my cd. lucky for me it got stolen a week after it developed this problem... i still havn't gotten a thank you note from whoever stole it

I picked the ones I did because of their long term product quality and down to earth style. If I were to buy from any of them, I wouldn't worry about the quality of what I got, because I know it's good.

I'd have to start my list with Kenwood. Yup ~ I know likely no one else will agree with me and that's fine. Since I became a Kenwood loyalist I have never had one of their products let me down (I thankfully never owned one of the D-Mask+ faceplate models) less one exception that was my own fault [a full 12oz Sprite emptying itself into the back of a cassette receiver proved unhealthy for the stereo]
