too much MIDBASS?

I have so much midbass that my speakers hit my door panels even with 1/3 inch spacer between them. Anyone else have this problem? I have eliminated about 80% of the popping from the speaker cone, but it still hits sometimes. I even put my HPF on 100 and it still hits it. My door is literally not attached to the side of the door that the speaker is on/its being held in place with all the other christmas trees but it still sucks not being able to completely fix it with the door attached.

Just wondering if anyone else is annoyed by this?

The Power of the Diamonds i tell you

try setting your HPF to 120 or even higher if you haveto.

Honestly. They should be handling 80hz and up and your subs should be crossed at 80 and down.

So you really need to find a new way to make them fit.. Maybe add a different kind of baffle. One that will allow more spacing. Like a flushmount that sticks past the speaker a good bit around the sides or cut up some of the inside of your door panel, or if you have to, fabricate a new grill out of cloth and that flushmount baffle.

what is the xmax of the speaker and what is the clearance between it and the panel? if you can't answer these two questions and solve your own problem you fail.

It's ****ing endofdays, of course he ****ing fails, he's a complete ****ing dumbass. He's still convinced that you can't tell any audible difference between crossing your front speakers over @ 63hz vs. 100hz. Where have you been? There are so many nuggets of idiocy from this guy that I am still unconvinced that the account isn't a trolling account from a regular member that exists purely for comic relief.

lol, and he calls me an a-hole...

I highly doubt he's an AE made for trolling. Members here aren't slick enough, and those that usually troll don't really have any audio skills to troll in a way that has to deal with audio.

We make it a rule not to troll outside the lounge.

I would be pissed if my midbass were only playing down

to 80hz. I can get that out of factory drivers with a couple door treatments. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
