ok so first of all heres what i have inside my 92 cherokee
the head unit is a alpine cda 9886
the speakers are powered by the head unit, no amp for that yet.
the battery connects to a Power Acoustic PCX-3F 3 Farad Car Audio Capacitor
it then runs to two different amps
i have an alpine mrp m500
http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/products/product.php?model=MRP-M500
and a power acoustic ov2-2200
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_8843_Power+Acoustik+OV2-2200.html?gclid=CKqp0P6CwZcCFRg6awodwjKPSA
ok and they run to two kicker cvr 104's
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_2067C10VR4/Kicker-CompVR-07CVR104.html?search=kicker+sub&tp=111
and they are inside a ported bassworx box.
my problem is this.
ok so i hooked it all up to the power acoustic amp to begin with and when i did that i could get one sub to hit really clean and perfect. but when i plugged in the second one the sound went into the crapper. like just vibration and a terrible noise.
so i figured. hmmm maybe the amps just not good or something, so i wired in the alpine into the system so it was one amp per sub through a distribution block.
when i did this both the subs got really quiet, so i figured ok the power is split now it must just need the subwoofer levels played with, so i turned it up. when i did this the subs would hit and then just cut out, hit quietly then loud then quiet.
so im assuming something is wrong, my first assumption is the battery is struggling.
im not new to car audio but i consider myself a long jump from good.
anyone have any clues ?
any help would be much appreciated
