Too many terminals on my sub

Why are there so many terminals on this sub? When I bought it, I was under the impression that it was a dual 6ohm sub, with the possibility of wiring it to 3ohms. But as you can see in the pic, there are two positives and two negatives on each side of the sub. Is this a quad voice coil sub then?? I don't really need all this complication...All I want it to wire it to 3ohms..do I need to wire up all the terminals in order to ensure "safe operation" of the sub, as the manual puts it? There is nothing in the manual that addresses my question.

no, there is another set of those on the other side of the sub, as I stated earlier. (the other set is not visible in the pic cuz it's on the other side.......)

Thought it was supposed to be dual-6ohms when i bought it.....

I wish it only had one positive and one negative post on the sub, set at 3ohms. That's all. No complication.
