too many ports turns?

sorry bout the picture, my paint file wont upload and my first post obviously didnt work so please work with me here

would this design be ok with the port snaking back and forth??! (think of the periods as free air)

if the picture is unclear, the port is on the far left side and it is a side view of the box (the port goes to the bottom of the box turn back up and than head down again)

well. im not sure- but hopefully that wll help you =P

id imagine you are trying for a snail shell type box.

not easy to make for sure.

 
No where near a Snail Shell.

 

That is just a box with a long port. If you have a smaller than optimum box that has to be tuned low then you will run into long ports.

 

To answer the question, if the port is built properly, it will be fine. If you are using round tubing for the port, make sure to leave it away from the walls and floor at the opening and you will be good to go.

well. yea, it just lookd to me like thats what he was trying to make..

if you just want a long port then yes. =P rofl.

 
my single e12a is like that...only 1.5 CF, but a long-*** port to drop the tuning frequency to 26-27 Hz...not a snail shell or transmission line design, but at first glance could resemble one.
