Too many f*cking options

Kicker holds value pretty well.
I'm sure you can find a Sundown 100.4 and a 3000d both layin around used and in great condition for a great price :)

I understand what you're saying though.

The 2500 is the way I'd go as well. Enough power to get those subs moving, not enough to reach their FULL potential, but enough we'll say that.

Only reason I brought up the 3000D is because A) It's perty. B) It's not much price difference. C) It gives you the extra power you wanted just as clean.
Like you said the 2500 will get the subs moving but not to their full potential... that left me thinking that the 2 1500.1's might be a better option because they will give each bl ~1700 watts.

Would their be any negatives to getting 2 Amps over 1 Amp?

As I stated above I can get either way for about the same price.

well i wouldnt just give on them just yet. maybe me, my buddy, and 9512d had some install issues. i just dont know. i know my box was too small for them though, and so is my buddies.

if you research Chevyaudio's review on his bl's he hit 149.x in a standard cab silverado off 1 IA 20.1. he was using 2 10" bl's with no options. and IME, the 20.1 and kx2500.1 are very similarly powered amps. so its kind of going both ways to tell you the truth.l

Those do kinda worry me. Do yourself a favor.

Do some more reading on the subs. Dont cast them off completely but read a bit more into them before making the decision. That's not the first bad review I've read or heard but thats one of the few detesting hte shit out of them

Power being equal, one amp is better than two... less wiring, one less electronic "box", ONE LESS THING TO GO WRONG. K.I.S.S.

But more power trumps everything, LOL.

The sundown sounds like the best suggestion yet.

I have researched them quite extensively and I get mixed opinions about the BL's. The only reason I was "set" on them was because they fit my needs price wise and 70% spl 30% sq......

I am very open to any suggestions on different subs meeting my needs.

A single 2500.1 is easier to setup. But, if you want more power and have the electrical to back it up, 2 1500.1's are the best route.
how much more of a strain on the electical would the 2 1500.1 have compared to the 1 2500.1?

I am planning on having a Kinetic 2000 up front, 2 Kinetic 2400's in the back and a 250 amp alternator w/ all big 3 upgrades.
