Alright, im planning on switching my system up a bit in the near future.
My car is a 1993 Lexus ES300, due to the car's build its nearly impossible to get the cabin extremely loud with a trunk setup.
I've decided to remove the rear speakers from my rear deck and make a box in which the subs will replace that area and fire directly into the car off the rear glass.
The amplifier will be a Hifonics 1606d (1600@1ohm)
Im moving to 10's so they fit, and cant decide between:
-Kicker CVXs
-Alpine Type R's
-Premiers (10" version of 3004SPL)
-AA Arsenals
Right now Im looking for about 80% SPL, 20% SQ. The CVXs seem best, while arsenals seem to have best SQ (but will they handle 800rms daily)?
From that, I have to decide sealed or ported. How would I port a box? Where would the ports fire? I want some SQ, so what tuning? (Lets say I go CVX)
What do you guys think?
